Akilah strives to provide up-to-date information on best practices for her clients when it comes to health and wellness.

Akilah saw the importance and necessity of IV Hydration with vitamins and minerals, after enduring her own battle with COVID-19. Unable to keep up with her oral intake of fluids due to the symptoms of COVID, she sought out IV Hydration. It was during her own recovery and caring for COVID patients in the hospital, she recognized the value of IV hydration. Please remember that everyone on our medical team is prepared to address any concerns you have. It’s also helpful to remember that they are experienced professionals who will make insertion as fast and painless as possible. Most people report feeling nothing more than a pinch. Most people find the IV infusion itself quite calming and relaxing. Some clients might feel some warmth as certain nutrients enter the bloodstream such as B vitamins or magnesium.

Yes, vitamin IV therapy is very safe provided it is administered by a licensed medical practitioner and overseen by a Medical Director. We use high-quality vitamins, minerals, and amino acids sourced from certified suppliers. Also, IV therapy has been utilized for over 50 years and was developed by Dr. John Myers (the Myer’s cocktail).

Depending on your nutritional needs you may see dramatic effects after the first IV infusion. People who get regular IVs will feel less dramatic effects as their body starts to obtain optimal hydration and nutritional balance. Some get IV weekly, multiple times a week, several times a month, or as needed.

Revive Me Wellness follows strict protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our supplies and equipment are sanitized between every client. Our staff will wear a mask and gloves during every client interaction. Face shield and gown will be worn during any interactions with COVID positive or symptomatic clients at all times. Please inform our staff members if current or recent COVID infection. We ask our clients to wear a mask and wash/sanitize hands upon the provider’s arrival.

While it seems counterintuitive to hydrate before a therapy whose entire purpose is to provide you with hydration and nutrients, it’s actually very important to drink plenty of water before your first IV injection. When your body is dehydrated your veins contract making it more difficult to receive intravenous therapy.

 It’s also important to eat a snack — a granola bar is perfect — before your IV therapy so that your blood sugar levels are stable. Staying hydrated and having something in your stomach before your appointment will help you avoid nausea and lightheadedness during and after your session.
